Within each list, tasks are kept in sequence.
You can use several lists and run them independently from each other.
The app has a quick tutorial and includes a fully functional sample project.
TaskRoll is a unique ToDo list application for ordered lists.
You can use this for a long process that may be difficult to remember. Or a reading list for books that you like to read in the correct order. Why not a cooking recipe?
You can manage multiple projects, processes, or recipes, each consisting of a series of tasks that must be completed, one after the other, in your pre-defined order.
Simply share your task lists using email.
The task lists are markdown-formatted text files that you can open in other apps.
An offline user guide is available within the app. You can also browse the manual here.
On an iPad,
you can swipe from the right-hand side and open TaskRoll as a secondary app,
running in Slide Over or Split View mode, alongside your current app.
(N.B.
This requires an iPad Air 2 or an iPad Pro running iOS 9.)
The current task is shown in a flip-over display, which is reminiscent of an old-style airport departure board. Underneath, supplementing comments can be shown. Tap the display and smile at how neatly it flips over to reveal the next task. In this way you will be guided though your list, step by step, in the correct order, and you can have some fun too.
When you have checked off all tasks within a list, you can restart the flow and repeat the process.
Has your plan changed? Do you need to reorder the task items? Easy. Simply reorder the list in TaskRoll.
Version 1.3 gives more feedback about the progress within a task list.
Version 1.2.1 fixes minor issues.
Version 1.2 adds a search bar and supports multitasking in iOS 9.
