TaskRoll: Table of Contents
First of all, once you have linked TaskRoll to Dropbox, you can always use Dropbox to share files.
To share workflows directly from within the app, open the project window where all you can see all the tasks that you have defined.
On the right-hand side of the project title, press the share button (the box with the upward-pointing arrow):
A share menu will pop up; when you select “E-Mail”, a new window with an email form will appear with your email message and with the workflow added as an attachment. The attachment contains a single text file (file extension .md) with a Markdown formatting of the complete task roll:
You can edit your message and send it directly, or you can press Cancel and optionally, save the message as a draft message that you can access from your email client.
Tip: in the Mail app, press and hold the compose button to quickly access your draft messages.
If you had received an email with a workflow (.md) attachment, then you can easily import it into TaskRoll. Simply select the attachment and among the options on how to open it, choose “Open in TaskRoll”.
Attachments that are opened in this way will be imported as new task rolls; no attempt is made to merge them with existing projects, even if their names were the same. Also, the file names of the imported task rolls may be adjusted to avoid conflicts.
